Kayla Oldham
Principal Landscape Architect
Kayla Oldham is an award-winning licensed Landscape Architect who has created landscapes all over the world. She spent the first eight years of her career at the premier landscape company of OLIN in Philadelphia designing customized exterior spaces for such notable places as University of Washington, the U.S. Embassy in Brazil, Origin Park in Clarksville, Indiana, as well as many other commercial and residential properties.
Kayla works from a love of nature, and a belief that outdoor spaces should be intentionally designed for their purpose as well as to inspire moments of beauty and reflection. All of her projects start by spending time understanding intentions, studying nearby building interactions, and extensive research on the purposes and precedents.
As part of her designs, she believes in extraordinary planting plans with an eye on maintenance resources. Kayla is interested in reaching beyond the normal and treats each project as a space that can be more than imagined.
Recently, Kayla has taken her exceptional experience and ideas to create her own landscape architectural firm, Firefly Exteriors. She is partnering with architects to create commercial outdoor spaces, as well as imagining beautiful ideas with nonprofit and residential clients.
